Our biggest hydroelectric power station project was completed in spring this year. The brand new water project in the Rhodope Mountains was designed on a grand scale and promised good results right from the start. Moreover, this time our firm was the general contractor of the entire turnkey technology.
Parameters of the hydro-electric plant: Concrete dam with a maximum height of 26m and crest length of 97m. The reservoir has a water surface of 4.06 hectares. The water for the power station is supplied through a bored tunnel 660m long and 2.6m×3m in cross section. The turbine generator works with a workable flow range of 0.5m3/s÷5.5m3/s and a total net gradient of 37m.

The power station building is equipped with three turbine generators with spiral Francis turbines with an overhung runner on shafts for synchronous generators with an output of 480kW + 660kW + 660kW.
Installation of the turbine generators in the production plant of TES Vsetín:
The construction of the machinery part was started in 2011. Then, in November 2011 the machine units were transported to the site, fitted in place and connected to the supply and suction pipes. At the same time work began to prepare the electrical equipment and the high-voltage, low-voltage and measurement and regulation switchboard cabinets, and the control system was gradually completed and tested.

The control system for the power station is the HONEYWELL Experion PKSR300, with which our staff have extensive experience from other fields (the energy and chemical industries) but which was used for the first time for a hydroelectric power station. A set of controllers was used with 128 digital inputs, 96 analogue inputs (including temperature measurement) and 128 digital outputs. The set also features a server, Windows operator station with one monitor and an HMI interface using a programmable UNITRONICS Vision 1040.

The power station is constantly monitored via a camera system consisting of one Axis 214PTZ rotating camera and Vivotek fixed IP cameras.
Remote supervision of the technology is via internet using up to 32 parallel VPN channels mediated by a DrayTek Vigor 2820 broadband firewall-router.
